It's off to the park to have some fun, and cheer my loving dad; He's number twenty-two you know, and really not that bad! We like to get there early, when the light has pierced the night; That seems to be the best time yet, for eating snow cones at twilight! Now I've been known a time or two, to stomp my feet and shout; With the game all tied and daddy up, he proceeds to knock one out! And so with victory well in hand, it's back to the ole homestead; Where daddy gently kisses me, and tucks me into bed! But before I close my eyes to sleep, I say a simple prayer; And thank the Lord for giving me, the greatest softball player!
