Remembering My Great Grandfather, "Dada"

My "Dada" has gone to be with Jesus. It is a quite sad time, but knowing he is with the Lord is comforting. He has left behind many great memories. He certainly loved me and in his last days referred to me as "his favorite girl". I will miss you!
I love you,
Autumn

Mike and Julie,
I am so sorry for your loss. I never had the pleasure of meeting your DaDa, but I know he was a great man. Lil Autumn was very blessed to be able to meet him. I know that he is in a better place. I will keep your family in my prayers.

Autie Rae,
I wish that you could have gotten to know just a little about the man whom you call Dada, and the ONE I call Father! First and foremost, he WAS my father, but he was also a great friend and confidant. He was to a large extent responsible for molding me into the man I am today. And although I was spiritually lost, he was the reason I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior! He prayed with me and explained the plan of salvation when the Holy Spirit was clearly speaking to my heart. I was only a child, but even then I knew that my father was ultimately preparing me for a life of Christian service for the Lord! I can still remember even today my father weeping when I walked down the aisle to make my profession of faith public. There was no doubt in my mind that my father loved me, and every day I think about that special love he had for me. If I live to be one hundred years old, I will NEVER be half the man my father was! He lived a simple life, but one rich and overflowing with abundant love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ! In the last days of my father's life, even death had no hold over him. He was ready to meet his Savior, and the only worry he had was for the welfare of his loving family. Father passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13th at the young age of eighty-two. His only request was that, we his family, share the plan of salvation with everyone we possibly could! I LOVE YOU DAD!!!

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
